Hello, Bienvenidos, & Welcome Back to Cuídate, my sacred space online where I share writings of hope, truth, and healing to encourage us to live with intention, love people, and lay our burdens down.
I’m Josefina, the writer behind this platform. My heartfelt wish is that my words become honey to your soul, bringing sweetness and healing to your bones (Proverbs 16:24).
Today is my birthday so I decided to share a special post for all readers.

Today I am 33.
As I embrace this new year of my life, I can't help but reflect on all that it took to get here. This past year was a testament to my courage and strength, filled with pain, shedding, and fully immersing myself in my healing.
This past year hurt me, but it also healed me.
Despite the pain, this past year has been a transformative journey. It has not only hurt me but also healed the inner parts of me that I would have kept on the back shelf if I didn't confront myself.
Here are 33 lessons, prayers, and gentle reminders I'll be carrying with me into the new year.
Let yourself be held.
Release the belief that you must always have it together. Some seasons require your undivided attention. You will feel lonely but remember you are not alone.
Surround yourself with people who remind you that you are worthy even when you struggle to find your value.
Sometimes it’s not you, it’s them.
There will be people who will never understand the assignment God places in your heart. Keep being faithful, even if they don’t agree.
Dear God, thank you for the tender heart you’ve gifted me with. Keep me soft.
May today and everyday be a reminder that you are loved by a God who knows your inner most parts.
Let yourself grieve. Grief will open the doors to honor your loss but it will also teach you to live.
Trust that the fires will subside, and the gold will shine through.
There is always something to be thankful for, even if the current season doesn’t align with my expectations.
You don’t have to beat yourself up, love yourself through it.
Trust that the closed doors are answered prayers.
Sometimes the new beginning is found when you come at the end of yourself.
Dear Self, Your kids want to see you have fun. Laugh with them.
Remember that you don’t have to do it by yourself.
Dear God, remove the people in my life and things in my heart that keep me from fully trusting you.
Your loved ones are ready to love on you, let them.
Dear God, Forgive me for ever thinking I can do it by myself.
In your weakness, God will be your strength.
You cannot win in life when you’re ignoring your wounds.
Joy comes in the mourning.
There may be some struggle, but that’s not the end of your story.
Forgive yourself for not knowing and Forgive yourself for knowing better.
Dear God, Help me use my gifts to the best of my ability.
Be okay with switching it up.
Choose Joy. In the trying times, and the best of times.
Dear God, Help me remember that your ways are better than mine.
Sometimes the breaking leads to remaking.
Trust that the brokenness will bring forth healing.
Trust that God writes the best stories, even if this chapter is not what you desired.
Do the things that make your heart smile and make your soul full.
If it doesn’t bring me peace, then it is not for me.
May I live my days with open hands, ready to receive what God has for me, and release the things that weigh me down. Help me trust His plan and embrace every blessing that comes my way.
